The stadium where they have the Samba competition was built to encompass the street where it had been traditionally. To go there on the Metro you get off at one stop if you are in an even numbered section and another if in an odd numbered section.
It was fabulous. Last night there were six schools. Each took more than an hour, with floats, dancers, singers, and everything else imaginable. It is like viewing six Rose Bowl parades. You will get a flavor with photos as soon as I get access to wireless. I´m glad that I experienced it. I could have watched it on television and probably gotten a better view of many of the parts, but it was great to be there.
Many airplanes pull ads as they fly over the beaches.
