The preceding images were taken today at Chan Chan, one of nine palaces from the Chimun culture. It was huge - 11 hectares. When the "governor (prince?)" died 38 women were buried with him - concubines, servants, whatever. All adobe, with latillas, vigas, stuff just like home.
What follows is from the Hucha de Luna, in the Moche Valley. The images are in original form (not reconstructed) and 1800 years old. The guides at both sites were great. In Peru they must be licensed and that requires four years of education.

Sorry about the small images but I wanted them in RAW. The great images are all in RAW.
